2016 #SurvivingIsSexy Project
Over 40,000 women die every year from breast cancer. 40,000! This number is staggering. In the face of so much loss, I wanted to find a way to give something back to the women who have beaten the odds and continue to do so. So, this month, which is Breast Cancer Awareness month, I am looking for
40-45 women in the Tampa Bay area who would be willing to participate in a boudoir-style group photo shoot in order to celebrate self-acceptance, vitality, strength, and the beauty of the female body, battle scars and all. Each of the sponsors listed below have agreed to donate a designated dollar amount to a breast cancer related charity for each woman who signs up, so the more women who participate = more breast cancer donations.
As someone who has personally felt the impact that breast cancer has on one’s family, I understand the devastating toll it can take on a woman’s self-confidence and ability to see herself as beautiful. I hope this shoot will empower all women participating to reclaim pieces of themselves that the disease may have stolen, including their femininity and sexuality.
This photoshoot will take place the 3rd week of October. To respect privacy, the location will be released to participants only. If you are a survivor or woman currently undergoing Breast Cancer treatment and would like the opportunity to be involved in this inspiring project, please Contact Me directly. I also welcome you to contact me if you are interested in being a corporate sponsor for this event.
